Baggage Policy – Plane To Paradise
At Plane To Paradise, we want our travelers to be fully informed about baggage allowances and charges before they fly. Since baggage rules vary by airline, fare type, and destination, the details outlined below serve as a general guide only.
1. General Baggage Information
- Baggage allowances are determined by the airline at the time of ticket purchase.
- Allowances may vary depending on route, cabin class (Economy, Premium, Business, First), and fare type (Basic, Standard, Flexible).
- All passengers should review their e-ticket or airline confirmation for the most accurate and updated baggage rules.
2. Carry-On / Cabin Baggage
- Most airlines allow 1 personal item (e.g., laptop bag, small backpack, handbag) free of charge.
- A carry-on bag (e.g., trolley bag) may be included or may require an additional fee depending on your fare type.
- Standard dimensions generally range between 45–56 cm (length), 36–45 cm (width), and 20–25 cm (depth), with weight limits from 7–10 kg (15–22 lbs), but exact rules differ by airline.
3. Checked Baggage
- Many basic or low-cost fares include no free checked baggage. Additional bags must be purchased separately.
- Standard checked baggage weight limits are usually 23 kg (50 lbs) for Economy and 32 kg (70 lbs) for Business/First Class.
- Oversize or overweight baggage may incur extra charges as per airline policy.
4. Special Baggage (Sports Equipment, Musical Instruments, etc.)
- Airlines may allow carriage of special items like skis, surfboards, golf clubs, or instruments.
- Some items may be considered part of your checked baggage allowance, while others require separate handling fees.
5. Restricted and Prohibited Items
- Items such as explosives, flammable liquids, sharp objects, or hazardous materials are not permitted in checked or carry-on luggage.
- Liquids, gels, and aerosols in carry-on bags must generally follow the 100ml / 3-1-1 TSA rule (or equivalent per international regulations).
6. Lost, Delayed, or Damaged Baggage
In case of lost, delayed, or damaged baggage, claims must be reported directly to the airline’s baggage service desk at the airport.
Plane To Paradise will assist in providing supporting documents (tickets, receipts) but the airline is responsible for baggage handling and compensation.
7. Important Notes
- Baggage rules and fees are subject to change without prior notice by the airline.
- Always check your booking confirmation email and the airline’s official website for the most updated baggage information prior to travel.
